Convicts now don’t need to bother swallowing a mobile to sneak it into prison. Just some coins can do the trick.
TOT plans to install public phones in 100 prisons nationwide after a rollout of the service at 16 facilities earned the state-owned telecom company THB15 million per month during the past year, Police Gen. and TOT Director Suchart Wonganantachai announced today.
Inmates have become a large target market for public phones while the revenues from service outside prison fences continue to fall, Sanook reported.
