A two-month old baby girl tragically passed away today after lying in a coma for 10 days following a violent attack.
The child lost consciousness after the mother’s boyfriend drenched the baby in cold water, stuffed powder in her mouth and shook her body violently at their home in Lam Luk Ka district of Pathum Thani, police said.
The girl’s mother said her boyfriend was angry when the baby did not stop crying.
The child was admitted to Pathum Thani Hospital on July 27. Hospital officials cited the baby was receiving intravenous drip but that her brain was not responsive.
The attacker has been charged with attempted murder, which he denies, reports Bangkok Post.
