A 24-year-old Indian moneylender was killed last night in front of his wife’s house on Soi Songprapa 2 in the Don Muang district. Police have not yet discovered the cause of the murder, but speculated on several potential motivations, including jealousy, robbery or financial conflicts.
Upon their arrival on the site at 10pm yesterday, police found the body of Gangasahar Yadav in a pool of blood. He had a deep wound on his throat and head injuries. Witnesses told police that two culprits, clad in helmets, ambushed Yadav on his arrival to his Thai wife’s house, then fled the scene.
Yadav, who lent money and sold clothes for a living, was believed to have been involved in financial conflicts with his patrons and other lenders. Police will review CCTV footage in order to identify the criminals, Dailynews reported.
