Pokémon is awesome no matter how old you are.
The biggest gathering of Pikachu will return for the second year this today when the cuddly, yellow Pokémon will perform their famous dance at Siam Paragon.
The main highlight of the event is the dance party of life-sized Pikachu at Parc Paragon. There will be three different shows this year including Pikachu Stomp (a mixture of ballet, hip hop and street dance), and Pikachu Dance Variety (iconic dance originally performed in Japan where Pikachu wear sailor outfits).
Making its world debut is “Pikachu Thai Dance Cha… Cha… Cha…” with choreography created specially for Thailand.
Admission is THB200 which gets you access to one dance show of your choice (1.5-hour long) and to play inside an 8-meter-high giant Pikachu with a trampoline inside. Oooh.
If you want to watch all three dances, you’ll have to pay THB600 – a huge increase from last year when THB100 could get you a free pass for all activities.
Other highlights are the Pokémon parade where Pikachu will feature alongside seven other Pokémons. For collectors, there will also be a pop-up store selling licensed Pokémon merchandise, on the second floor of Siam Paragon.
The event will launch tomorrow with a press preview at 3pm, and the first dance show will be performed for the public at 6:45pm.
Over the weekend, the event will begin at 10am. Tickets can be bought at the door. Check the show schedule on Facebook.
