Hundreds of doctors volunteer to help Nepalese

A call for professional medical volunteers to provide aid in Nepal has been answered by hundreds of doctors from across Thailand.

The Medical Council of Thailand said as of yesterday 350 doctors had registered online, according to state media.

The volunteers would be organized by their areas of expertise to match needs in the earthquake-devastated region, where the death toll now exceeds 4,000 and more than 7,000 injured.
