How to turn that grief into action to help the Nepalese

Several local organizations are collecting donations to help aid the survivors of Nepal’s 7.9-magnitude quake.

While the death toll continues to climb past 3,000, the count of injured people approaches 5,000, according to the latest report on Telegraph.
 

Here are several local and international organizations accepting donations:

Thai Red Cross Society

Transfer donations to SCB bank account No. 111-3-90911-5. For more information contact pr-fund-rc@hotmail.com. Fax a transfer receipt to 02-544-1040 to get a receipt.


 

Unicef Thailand

1. Donate online.

2. Transfer donations to one of the following bank accounts:

  • Bangkok Bank, Ko Pho Branch, Current Account, Account No. 201-3-01324-4

  • KrungThaiBank, BanglumpooBranch, Current Account, Account No. 167-6-00662-1

  • Bank of Ayudhya, Banglumpoo Branch, Current Account, Account No. 011-0-06153-6

Fax a transfer receipt to 02-356-9229 or 02-281-6033 and write “for Nepal” and your address on it to get a receipt.

Accepts donations directly for the Nepal relief effort; only accepts credit cards or PayPal.
 

Doctors Without Borders

International aid organization says it is rushing supplies and personnel to the affected areas. Only accepts credit cards.
