Bangkokians who follow the news will know that this weekend (probably Sunday) there may be protests in Bangkok. Just how large this get-together is going to be is unclear, but it’s a safe bet that it will, at the very least, tie up traffic and make life inconvenient. Thankfully, blogger Richard Barrow has put together a useful Google map of areas to avoid.
The map breaks down the three districts – Dusit, Phra Nakhon and Pomprap Satruphai – that will be under the Internal Security Act’s (ISA) enforcement.
More Specifically, Barrow’s map includes the landmarks which will probably be ground zero for the protests – Parliament and Government House. It also includes other prominent institutions that may be on lockdown.
Whatever your plans this weekend, it’s probably best to avoid the areas in the ISA zone, especially Parliament and Government House.
