A man well known in Thailand’s high society circles is the subject of a police complaint after allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend and leaving her in a shocking state.
The woman, identified by police as Yodwadee Junsupong, 23, was photographed at Bangkok’s Sai Mai police station covered in blood with a smashed phone and tablet after allegedly being attacked by her boyfriend of seven months, Chonlawit Hiranchatchawan.
She filed the police report at 1:30am on Sunday, two hours after the attack, before being taken to the hospital, according to Khaosod.

A viral public Facebook post by Shane Rajatabhaiboon, who identified himself as the woman’s brother, suggested that his sister is two months pregnant and Chonlawit is the father of the unborn child, saying that the family intends to prosecute her attacker.
The public post contains graphic photos of the woman’s injuries. It has been shared more than 20,000 times since yesterday.
“She is two months pregnant. I’m stressing that she is pregnant. The person who beat her is the father of the unborn child. I told her to get out of that hellhole and seek justice through legal procedures.”
According to Pol. Capt. Sathit Paokaew, Yodwadee caught Chonlawit chatting with other women on the Line application, leading to a fight.
He added that Chonlawit has contacted the police, saying that the fight was a “matter between boyfriend and girlfriend” and that he had attempted to perform first aid on Yodwadee’s injuries but his girlfriend wouldn’t let him.
Pol. Capt. Sathit said that the case won’t be compromised based on what Chonlawit said. The police are waiting for the results of Yodwadee’s medical checkup.
In the Facebook post, Shane goes on to allege that this is not Chonlawit’s first brush with the law. The brother claims the attacker hit two people with his white Porsche in April of this year, as this report on Khaosod confirms. Another report in The Nation also said that Chonlawit hit three people with his grandmother’s Mini Cooper back in 2012, when he was only 17 years old. The legal age to drive in Thailand is 18.
We can find no reports that he was charged in either incident.
Shane alleges that Chonlawit knew Yodwadee was pregnant but still attacked her, smashing her phone and tablet, which can be seen in the photos destroyed and covered in blood.
Yodwadee met her brother at Sai Mai Police Station and was later taken to the hospital to treat her numerous injuries. It has been reported that her baby survived the attack.
