City folk with a love for bikes and buildings can combine the two to explore structures of architectural significance in the Silom Road area this weekend.
An architecture bike tour will start at 7am outside the Au Bon Pain cafe near Sala Daeng on Silom Road. The tour will take in the sights of Bang Rak district, including the Christian Christ Church, Bangkok Bank headquarters, Hindu Sri Maha Mariamman temple and Old Customs House.
The stories behind the buildings will be told in both Thai and English by the architectural historian hosting the bike tour.
Don’t forget to bring your own bike and beware of the crazy buses, motorbikes and cars.
