Holy Kitty: Bangkok gets cute with Hello Kitty Run

FYI, Hello Kitty is a girl, not a cat.

Hello Kitty, the classic Sanrio character adored by all Asian girls worldwide, will lead her troops of cat ladies and gentlemen in a 5k race, “Hello Kitty Run Thailand,” next month.

Under the theme of “Link Love Together,” hardcore Hello Kitty fans will get to sport their crazy pink gear and run for the chance to win a limited Hello Kitty medal. There will also be other activities and cute character-themed food at the event.

Runners will start off at the Makkasan Airport Rail Link station, and follow a route of 5 kilometers in the surrounding area before looping back to the start point.

If you need more temptation, an exclusive Hello Kitty kit will be given to those who registered. We’re talking a limited edition Hello Kitty bag, T-shirt and badge with your runner’s number.

Early bird tickets are now available at THB790 via Thaiticketmajor. Participants will need to select shirt sizes and pick up merchandise kits before the event.
