Hmong tribesmen nabbed in huge meth bust

A Hmong tribesmen was arrested on Sunday by the Chiang Rai police for possession of 120,000 ya ba or methamphetamine pills.

Suchart Sae Mua, 33, was traveling in a pickup truck along the Mae Saruay-Fang Road in the Mae Saruay district of the Chiang Rai province. He was stopped by the police at a checkpoint in Tambon Padad and, after a search of his vehicle, was found to be in possession of 120,000 methamphetamine, or ya ba, pills.

He confessed to the police that he was paid TBH400,000 with a TBH10,000 advance to deliver all the drugs to his client in the central province of Ayutthaya, the Bangkok Post reported.
