High school’s Angkor Wat-themed performance slays internet (VIDEO)

At an inter-school sports competition, Kanlayanawat School’s cheer team slayed the competition with their cool and creative performance, which has received a staggering 1.5 million views on the internet this week.

The performance where a cheer team on the stand sing and use their bodies and hand gestures to create beautiful patterns is locally known as “stand cheer” in Thai.

Stand cheer is a huge part of competitive Thai sports events, especially at schools.

This cheer by Kanlayanawat School in Khon Kaen province was inspired by the history of Angkor Wat, as the team executed a flawless performance which won them a trophy and internet fame.
