About 20 sports cars parked provocatively on a tollway last night are being criticized by netizens who question the legality and appropriateness of the event.
While several users suggest parking on a tollway is against traffic regulations no matter what, one user who claimed to know one of the car owners, explained they gather on an unfinished tollway near Suvarnabhumi Airport in Samut Prakan province which hasn’t been opened to the public.
The user claimed the gathering had the blessing of authorities who allowed them to use the closed tollway for the event.
Meanwhile a Traffic Control represented commented on the story last night on Facebook.
“We received a report that it’s a tollway near Suvarnabhumi Airport in Samut Prakan province, and if they had raced the cars, they would have been caught on CCTV,” the message read.
The thread on Pantip has since deleted, leaving netizens hanging whether the fancy car party was legal or not.
