Two Bangkok taxi drivers, Kwanyiwa and Sanan, are so enamored with Hello Kitty that they decorated each of their taxis with paraphernalia from the wildly popular Japanese cartoon.
The drivers, who also happen to be husband and wife, said they have been driving their taxis in Bangkok for eleven years. They said they decided to kit out their vehicles with Hello Kitty to give their fellow drivers a smile on the busy roads.
From the large Hello Kitty face screened on the front hood to smaller details such as the sun shades and pink wheel cover-up, the design has caught the attention of both locals and tourists, many of whom can’t help but snap a photo.
Kwanyiwa said the cars’ highlight is the false eyelashes on the headlights, which she invented herself.
For those who want to catch a Hello Kitty taxi, the couple transports passengers around the Don Mueang Airport area, Khaosod reported.
