A medical test proved that a man charged with the rape of a hi-so pharmaceutical heiress didn’t have sex with her on Monday night after they went out clubbing, but cops aren’t dropping charges against him.
Rungrot Akrareuangkun admitted to meeting the 21-year-old woman named Nan at Onyx on RCA on Monday night and taking her to a love motel called the Peep Inn. But he claimed that they didn’t sleep together, instead saying that she vomited and he left the motel without her, reported Sanook.
Before the heiress woke up groggy and alone with no memory of how she got to the motel, her family had already gone to the police to report her missing. The police sent the girl to a physical exam, and the tests showed that she did not have sex that night nor was there any sign of assault of her body.
Despite these findings, Metropolitan Police Chief Sanit Mahathavorn said that police will still press charges against Rungrot for attempted molestation, false imprisonment and taking someone to a place to commit a crime.
Additionally, he said that the cops may press charges against the staff at Peep Inn for aiding in a crime. The staff could be charged under a law that calls it a crime to let someone into a hotel who is unconscious.
