Cancel those return to the office parties. Health officials have called on the public to work from home once again – after they party 2021 out the door.

More than 500 confirmed Omicron cases have been counted in over a dozen provinces thus far, prompting Sathit Pitudecha of the Health Ministry to ask the public to cooperate by working remotely starting Jan. 4 to prevent yet another COVID-19 surge.

Health officials yesterday announced that 514 people have been infected by Omicron – a fast-spreading variant that scientists are still assessing – two-thirds of which were travelers from abroad. Most were reportedly asymptomatic or had mild symptoms.
