Splattered with blood stains and bound and tied in a sheet, it lay beside the bed until discovered by the hotel’s workers.
Terrified by their discovery, staff of the unidentified hotel in western Bangkok immediately dialed the police to report the apparent dead body.
That’s when they got a second surprise. When police arrived and unwrapped the sheet to see its grisly contents, they discovered nothing more than a pillow and body pillow carefully wrapped inside.
The pre-Halloween prank proved a hit online, where many it hilarious or even commended the mystery guest for their effort.
“Wow, they really devoted their time to carefully wrapping those pillows up, hahaha,” a Ponnapa Saejew wrote in a Facebook comment today.
The cops and staff theorize the guests had bled all over the sheets and floor and quickly checked out without telling anyone to avoid paying for damages they caused. But not before having a little fun.
“Who taught you your ways?” Ornaunkarn Rajhada also commented today.
Coconuts Bangkok has not been able to reach user Prapan Sangman who originally posted the photos for comment but will update this if we learn more of the bloody situation.
