“Halleloo, Bangkok!
Fantabulous American tv-personality “Shangela” of the Emmy Award-winning TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race is bringing her one-woman-show, Shangela Is Shook, to Thailand on Dec. 13.
The evening of cabaret and comedy, organized by LA Comedy Live, will start at 8pm at the Dr. Thaworn Phornprapha Auditorium located on the fifth floor of the Siam Motors building near the National Stadium BTS station.
Tickets are available on Thai Ticket Major starting at THB1,500 (about US$46) a pop.
Shangela, real name D.J. Pierce, was the first contestant eliminated in season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and returned as a surprise contestant in the series’ third season, placing sixth. She’s also made several TV appearances including on Two Broke Girls, Glee, and The X-Files.
She most recently had a supporting role in the much-anticipated musical dramedy A Star is Born alongside Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
Woof, straight out of the silver screen to the international stage. It’s been a good year for Shangela.
