In response to viral videos of a few guests getting naughty at a Pattaya pool party, the Australian co-founder of Kolour, a well-known event organizer, said the couples did not have sex — it just looked like it.
Coran Maloney, the company’s managing director, issued a statement on Kolour’s Facebook page last night, saying that his team has spoken to the guests in the footage and confirmed that no sex acts had taken place.
“We confirm that no sexual activity actually took place — the people in the video were acting in a provocative manner in an attempt to get attention,” a statement signed by Maloney reads.
“While we want people to have fun at our events, we do find this footage to be in poor taste and offensive. In response, we will be banning these guests from all future events. We will also brief our security to look out for similar situations in future.”
The response came after a Facebook user published videos of the shenanigans at their Kolour Beachside Party held at a Pattaya hotel pool on Saturday night.
One clip shows a bikini-clad Asian woman being dry-humped by a Caucasian man in the pool, while another video shows a man in a sailor hat spreading a woman’s legs apart.
Maloney, who was summoned by Pattaya police yesterday, told reporters he had no knowledge of such behavior going on at the party until the footage circulated on the web, according to Sanook.

His statement said that in their seven years in the business, Kolour, known for their electronic music festivals and parties, had never encountered this sort of incident.
Meanwhile, police said they plan to summon the couples seen in the clip and charge them with public indecency, which is punishable with a fine of THB500 ($US15).
