Three grenades were fired from an M79 launcher into the Royal Thai Police Sports Club and Thai PBS television station last night.
One grenade landed on a tent being used by riot police guarding the Center for Maintaining Peace and Order located inside the sports club but did not detonate.
Two others landed in the public broadcaster’s parking lot and damaged two vehicles.
Cdr. Siranit Phrombut of the Metropolitan Police said the grenades were probably launched from high ground on the elevated tollway about 400 meters away. Investigators are studying CCTV footage in hope of identifying the perpetrators, NNT reported.
