Taxi-booking app GrabTaxi officially launched its on-demand motorbike service “GrabBike” in Bangkok today for those who have no time to waste and prefer to slide through traffic on two wheels.
The new service, which is still in its early stages, promises to connect commuters to the closest moto-taxi driver with an introductory fare of THB35. The service operates on the same platform as GrabTaxi.
While speeding between two buses on a motorbike can be risky, GrabBike offers up to THB2,000 insurance for minor injuries and property damage or loss.
It also claims to run background checks on the drivers.
Just like GrabTaxi, the track and share location is available.
Bangkok is the fourth city to use GrabBike after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Jakarta.
GrabBike currently has a promo code “BIKEBETA” to redeem the THB35 flat rate for your ride until end of this month.
