Chinese New Year kicks off Thursday in Chinatown, which will make for a festive setting for the second coming of Gallery Hopping Night.
After its first outing in December, the event has expanded to include 13 galleries and art spaces this Friday night along Silom and Charoen Krung roads to mark the new beginning of Year Goat with closing hours extended until at least 11pm.
The participating spaces on “Chinese New Year Gallery Hopping Night” include Artery Post, Modern Gallery, Artha Gallery, ATTA Gallery, Bridge Cafe & Art Space, Jam Cafe, Kathmandu Photo Gallery, Modern Gallery, Number1 Gallery, Serindia Gallery, Speedy Grandma, Soy Sauce Factory, Thavibu Gallery and Cho Why.
In addition to their regular exhibitions, many of the galleries will offer special sessions such as artist discussions, musical performances and DJ music. The schedule is available online.
