Gaping pit opens in busy Bangkok road, heralding driver despair (Updated)

Update: All fixed! Here’s some pics of the effort.

First, snacks were served around the person-hole.
Then the gaping hole was made even bigger.
Make sure the bosses are seen in every photo.
And voila! Hope it survives this week’s rain.

Traffic across much of New Petchaburi Road remained FUBAR as of noon Tuesday after a gaping hole opened road opened near the entrance to the Chalerm Mahanakon Expressway.

Repair crews were scrambling all morning to close what appeared to be either a roughly 6-meter-by-3-meter sinkhole or possible hellmouth that yawned open at dawn, paralyzing traffic along the busy road.
