A proposal to extend free service on certain buses and third-class trains for another month has been approved by the Election Commission.
The government will spend THB355 million to continue the subsidy expected to help low-income commuters through the end of April, according to The Nation.
Under the program, third-class trains operated by the State Railway of Thailand provide free service. Foreign nationals still need to buy tickets, however.
Seventy-three bus lines are included in the program, and passengers can identify them by the blue stickers as shown here:
