Four Phuket teens charged over assault, intimidation of 11-year-old

Four 15-year-old students on Phuket were charged today for allegedly beating an 11-year-old classmate in her home and filming it.

The mother, identified only as A, filed a complaint Sunday at Phuket’s Wichit Police Station after she discovered a clip on social media of her daughter being beaten at their residence.

The 11-year-old girl revealed that the four upperclassmen, all girls, came to her house in late April. Three of them beat the girl while another filmed the incident. At the time, the girl’s parents were away on a business trip.

In the video, the child can be seen begging for her life. The seniors threatened to kill her parents if she told anyone of the incident.

Authorities report that the girls physically assaulted her because they heard the girl did not like them. Parents of a 13-year-old girl have also reportedly filed complaints against the same students for a similar attack. Both cases are under investigation.

The clip was widely shared Sunday by a relative of the girl, who pleaded for help in catching the perpetrators.

“Three people swarmed and attacked a fifth grader until she had to beg for her life,” the caption read. “Please help find them. Aren’t 15-year-olds beating a fifth-grader too much? They even threatened to kill her parents. Do their parents know this happened on April 24? I only found out today.”
