Put down the treats and toys, cat bounty hunters, as a missing Scottish Fold with a reward as hefty as her belly has been found.

Manee the cat, who had been the subject of a THB300,000 reward for her safe return, was spotted by a security guard returning home from a wander, her human companion Mimi announced early this morning.

“Thank you to the security guard for informing me that he’s seen her,” Mimi said. “She returned to the village herself. Thank you neighbors for opening the door for Mimi to catch her, even in the dark.”

Manee, who had been missing since Sunday, was a little less chunky, had a little less fur, and was suffering a mild fever and chin wound.

“Manee will have to go through a health check,” Mimi said. “We will have a blood test and health check-up before taking her back home to live with the other two cats.”

Mimi signaled that she may renege on the large cash prize offered for Manee’s return, complaining that too many people were trying to contact her, and Manee needs peace and quiet to recover from her ordeal. Attempts to reach Mimi by phone this morning were unsuccessful.

Nonetheless, she thanked everyone’s efforts in finding the kitty.

“I would like to thank everyone who volunteered to help find my cat,” the post read. “I would like to thank all the volunteers, police officers, and neighbors who cooperated with the search and reporting for these past three days.”.
