The father and husband of the Chonburi bride-to-be and mother who were murdered in an incident captured on CCTV says that he refuses to have a funeral until the murderer performs a traditional ceremony to ask his forgiveness.
The practice of a criminal asking for forgiveness from his or her victims (kor ka ma) is an increasingly rare occurrence.
Aarom Nantachalakornkit, the father and husband of the murdered victims, announced to the press during the crime reenactment that there will not be a funeral unless the murderer makes amends for the dead. Pol. Lt. Gen. Techit Kulpanich, Chonburi’s Samet station lead investigator, said that suspect Yosapol Haekarn, was arrested at the Thailand-Cambodia border and brought back to their police department.
Yosapol will be moved to Chonburi provincial court tomorrow and charged with malicious murder, possessing a gun without a license, carrying a gun in public, and firing bullets in a public area.
His bail has been denied, Mthai reported.
