The Tuang Kuen Puen Pa, also known as the Thai Forest Land Reclamation Party, has announced that it will be fielding a candidate in June’s Don Muang by-election.
In an interview with the Bangkok Post, party leader Damrong Pidech who is also the former director-general of the National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department, said they will be fielding a candidate in order to offer Bangkok’s Constituency 12, also known as the Don Muang district, an alternative choice in the polls.
However, the party leader has yet to name a candidate.
Observers noted that as it stands, the by-election will be between the two major rival parties – the Pheu Thai Party and the Democrats.
