The seal of Bangkok Bank
On Wednesday, a foreign robber held up a Bangkok Bank branch in the Muang district.
The robber was described as a “non-Thai citizen of European descent” and was able to make off with TBH300,000.
The robbery was well planned, and included the assistance of a getaway motorcycle driver, said Nonthaburi provincial police chief Thanayuth Wuthijarasthamrong.
According to employees at the bank, the man looked to be around 40 years old, wore sunglasses and appeared to be European. He walked to the counter and passed a note, written in English, to the teller, which read: “I have gun and knife. Fill the bag with money quietly.”
Authorities are investigating security cameras from the bank to track down the suspect, the Bangkok Post reported.
