A man in southern Trang province woke up to find a dozen of his chickens missing. What he found instead of his pen of hens was a giant python with a suspiciously large stomach bulge sleeping peacefully near the chicken coop.
A homeowner in Wang Wiset district, only identified as Adisorn, alerted the rescue team to capture the serpent, who was curled up under a wooden desk with a happy, full stomach.
The rescuers were shocked to see the fat python with glistening skin, saying it was the biggest snake they’d ever come across in the area.
The team then used a loop to capture the python. Measuring its weight and length, the python astonishingly was six meters long and weighed between 35-40 kilograms, reported Sanook.
The serpent was released in a more suitable habitat.
