A female tourist of undisclosed nationality is in the hospital after being attacked during the day yesterday in an area teeming with young backpackers.
Two men on a motorcycle reportedly approached the woman on Phra Athit Road and threw a beer bottle which struck her in the head before speeding off, according to Khaosod English.
Police suspect they were enraged when the woman would not buy flowers from them. The unidentified woman received 10 stitches at Vajira Hospital.
Police are reviewing security camera footage to identify the assailants.
