Flash flood and landslide warning for multiple cities in Thailand

The 2011 floods

The National Disaster Warning Centre issued an official alert to the people living in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun this Wednesday to be wary of impending heavy rainfall with possible forest runoffs, mudslides and flash floods starting from today up to Saturday.

A Bangkok Post report said strong winds will generate 2-to-3-meter high waves in the upper part of the Gulf of Thailand. All ships are warned to proceed with utmost care as small boats are encouraged to stay at the shore during this time period.
