The Audi le Mans: A very expensive car
The Department of Special Investigations (DSI)’s luxury car witch-hunt is still going on, apparently.
The DSI recently seized five cars belonging to Bio Power System Thailand Company after sources revealed that one of the company’s executives had ties to an illegal car-importing ring.
Bio Power System, however, is not alone in its opprobrium. The dealership is one of five that the DSI inspected yesterday on suspicions of having illegally imported luxury cars in an effort to avoid the high import tariffs associated with those vehicles.
According to the Bangkok Post, the impounded automobiles included Mercedes-Benz, a Volkswagen and Audis.
