An industrial park in Prachin Buri became the first major manufacturing site to be hit by floods this year after the Prachin Buri River burst its banks and immediately flooded areas around the industrial park on Wednesday.
Authorities, who fear the park could be completely inundated if heavy rain continues to fall over the next few days, said the water level in one factory was about 40 cm deep, and officials are building a dyke around the industrial estate using large sandbags to prevent more flooding, reported the Bangkok Post.
