Five people were injured and 15 homes destroyed in a blaze this morning in the Udomsuk area of Bang Na district. No deaths were reported.
Flames reportedly spread quickly in the Thanin Community, where houses are built close to one another. Locals frantically rushed out of their homes as flames spread in the neighborhood, which is home to nearly 100 households.
The fire was assumed to have been sparked by a short circuit at a factory within the neighborhood. It took 10 fire trucks and over an hour to put out the flames.
A total of 15 houses were badly damaged and five people injured. Two of them were taken to Sirinthorn Hospital whereas the other three only suffered minor injuries caused by tripping and smoke inhalation, NNT and Kapook reported.
