Find and share Bangkok’s best places to poop with ‘Khee’

“Explore a city. Pin a toilet. Be a hero.”

That’s the pitch that greets users who download “Khee,” an app available starting today that lets people pin locations of their favorite public toilets.

It’s something everyone has experienced. You’re out in the city when suddenly nature calls. What to do?

Khee (“shit”) helps you crowd-source your toilet destination by providing a Google Maps-like interface where cutesy rainbow-colored poop pins mark public toilets available for use.

To pin a toilet, click on the poop icon then tap on the map where the toilet is located. Toilet trackers can and should note details such as the floor the toilets are located and if there is any cost.

For example, need to drop a No. 2 near the Victory Monument? Open the app and, voila, there a few poop icons lead the way to relief at the nearby Victory Hub shopping mall, behind a Watson’s in Victory Hall, and a toilet that costs THB3 near Ratchawithi Road.

The app was created by Settasit Settagaroon, who told reporters that he was motivated by his own fecal crises faced when a bathroom could not be found.

Gone are the days of walking into a bar or restaurant to meekly ask permission. Now, guided by our helpful mutual pooping experiences, we stride and squat together into a brighter future.

Khee is available via Apple and Google Play stores.
