Football club FC Barcelona, four-time winners of the Champions League, has been induced to stop by Bangkok this August, in order to complete an itinerary that will include an exhibition match against Thailand’s national team.
While on the “Chang Champions Cup – FC Barcelona Asian Tour 2013,” the team will spend several days in Bangkok, playing an exhibition match against the Thai national team on August 7 at Rajamangala National Stadium.
This stopover comes courtesy of Thai Beverage, storied purveyors of Chang beer. In the words of the Nation, FC Barcelona is “arguably the best team in the world,” making its visit to Thailand a direct challenge to the highfalutin British clubs that Singha has gathered in the Kingdom to celebrate its 80th birthday.
