Farang mafia? Street vendor beaten up by three foreigners (VIDEO)

In a report that came to light today, a male street vendor was beaten up by three foreigners, much to the shock of locals who tried to tell the men to stop.

On Saturday at 6pm, Ponlaran Chartbut, 22, said he was eating dinner at home when the foreigners’ black pickup truck hit his motorbike parked on the street, so Ponlaran, his brother, and another friend hopped on their motorbikes to follow them.

The pickup truck pulled up to a beer bar in the village, so Ponlaran and his companions went in to confront the men. That’s when three of the farang gang beat them up while another foreigner, who Ponlaran said was holding a knife, reportedly stood there and watched.

A video of the incident, published by Khaosod, showed three large foreigners beating up a helpless Thai man. From the video, it’s not clear if the other Thai men were also physically involved, though they claim that they were.

Ponlaran said he and his companions scattered in different directions as locals yelled out, telling the foreigners to stop. The foreign gang went back to their truck and escaped.

Ponlaran’s grandmother took the three Thai men to the doctor and filed a police report. They have submitted the CCTV footage to the police.

The grandmother, Supreeya Gongkan, 57, said she feared the foreigners might leave the country before the police could track them down.
