Farang jumps to his death at Suvarnabhumi Airport

A foreign man is believed to have committed suicide when he fell from the fourth floor of Suvarnabhumi Airport this morning.

At 6:30am, Alan Paul Grimes, 32, fell four floors to his death near the escalators. He was given first aid at the airport before being rushed to Samitivej Hospital to be pronounced dead at 8:06am.

CCTV footage showed him riding the escalator to the fourth floor near Gate 5. He jumped when he reached the top of the escalator, reported Bangkok Post.

Grimes held Irish and Australian passports. An investigation into the reason for the jump has been opened.
