A very honest hotel worker in Pattaya was shocked when he hit an SCB ATM in South Pattaya and it opened it’s electronic gates to reveal THB70,000 — THB69,000 more than he was trying to withdraw.

Boonsong Poolsukserm, 57, wasted no time rushing that extra cash to the Pattaya City Police yesterday afternoon and handing it over to Pol. Capt. Suphan Sophee, who filed the paperwork and contacted the bank, reported Bangkok Post.

He told police that he was trying to withdraw THB1,000, at the Thep Prasit Road machine at 3pm.

Police believe the machine is faulty, but this seems a lot easier than asking a tree for lottery numbers.
