Despite the highly visible presence of soldiers deployed to keep the peace at the Lumpini Park protest camp, nightly attacks continue.

A 34-year-old protest guard was seriously injured by an explosion at 5:20 am this morning, according to the Erawan Emergency Medical Service.

The man was taken for treatment at nearby Chulalongkorn Hospital.

The explosion happened near a tent occupied by protest guards, near the main rally stage, according to a Channel 3 news report.

Another explosion was reported at the site of Lotus Chaengwattana last night at 10:30pm, but no one was reported injured, The Nation reported.
