A Japanese woman sought help from Bang Na authorities yesterday, claiming her Thai boyfriend had physically abused her for the past three years.
Police arrested Roongroj Trabsri, 34, after his 37-year-old girlfriend, Miho Katsumi, accused him of being addicted to yaba and subjecting her to physical abuse.
Miho told police Roongroj started beating her after their son was born three years ago. He frequently borrowed her money, she alleged, but she was too scared to seek help because she feared more beatings.
Roongroj was given a drug test which police said came back positive.
Roongroj admitted to beating his girlfriend today, claiming drugs made him lose sight of who he is. At the police presser, he said he loves his girlfriend and son so much that he always took her to see a doctor after each beating, Manager reported.
