Saharat Rattasapong recently received a strange package from an ex-girlfriend: their aborted child.
After sending a text message saying she was leaving the child for him, “Waew” hand-delivered a box to Saharat in southeastern Bangkok with the fetus inside before leaving in a taxi, and now police are searching for the 21-year-old woman.
Police said the fetus was that of a boy about 28 weeks old, according to media accounts on Saturday.
Saharat told police he knew about the pregnancy, and said that Waew had wanted an abortion while he urged her to keep it. In her text message, she suggested she was dying from bleeding and “forgave him for everything,” according to Bangkok Post.
Police suspect that she had tried to abort the child before visiting a hospital for help, after which she snuck the fetus out.
