An Estonian man died this afternoon after shooting himself at a gun range in Phuket.
The man, identified only as “Andres,” died instantly when he shot himself in the head at the Patong Hill Shooting range, The Phuket News reported.
Police called to the scene found the man with a .45 STI Eagle handgun he had rented still in his hand.
A staff member at the shooting range told The Phuket News that the man looked stressed.
“He smoked several cigarettes before he went into the shooting range and fired seven consecutive rounds into the target then shot the eighth round into his head,” the staff member said.
The man was reported to have left a note for his Thai wife in Patong and one in Estonian for his sister.
