Since the implemention of the toll increase on Sept. 1, many Easy Pass card users have reported that their cards fail to let them pass the automatic barrier gates stationed at tolls.
On Monday the bug exacerbated morning traffic yet again with many drivers complaining of frustrating delays.
Some netizens have reported that the baht value of their cards shown at the toll booth is too low and incorrect. In some cases, the gate hasn’t even opened at all and drivers said they had to switch to another toll booth, infuriating the drivers behind them.
Aiyanat Tinapai, Chief of the Expressway Authority of Thailand said the Easy Pass system bugs are being fixed and the system should be properly functioning by the end of September. Those who top up their toll cards might have to wait hours for the value to show up due to the delays in the system, the Daily News reported.
