Who would Thai teenagers most like to see exchange gestures of love?
None other than two former prime ministers known to set their devout followers’ hearts aflutter: Abhisit “Mark” Vejjajiva and Yingluck “Pu” Shinawatra, according to the latest Dusit Poll.
Of more than 1,000 Bangkok teens between 15 and 24 asked which rivals they’d like to see exchange flowers on Valentine’s Day, 29.4 percent named the two rivals.
Nearly as many, 29.1 percent, wanted to see Yingluck and Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha make overtures of love. Meanwhile 17.5 percent named Prayuth and the news media as a pair that would benefit by breaking the ice with some red roses.
According to Thai PBS, the poll also learned nearly half of all teen couples met in school, with about 1-in-5 meeting online.
