It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means: luau feasts and surf parties! Seriously. This Christmas season you’ll have the chance to enjoy a Hawaiian feast and surf party put on by Beervana and Eat Me’s Tim Butler. The weekend of surfin’ and suds is taking place at Flow House Bangkok Dec. 14-16.
The “Santa On A Surfboard” themed party will be three days of surfing and two nights of eating some fine Hawaiian food. Chef Tim Butler has prepared a five-course Polynesian menu that promises a little something special, although we don’t know what it is yet. What we do know, however, is that it involves a spit-roasted whole pig roasted for an entire day. Yum.
Two very fine ales from the Pacific Northwest will be making their Thai debut at the dinner as well, Anderson Valley’s Solstice Cream Ale and Rogue’s Mocha Porter. The Mocha Porter is certainly something to get excited about: It scores a 96/100 on the popular ratebeer.com and decent porters are generally unheard of in Bangkok (although the weather might have something to do with that). We’re sure Chef Tim and Beervana will come up with some very interesting pairings for this brew and of course all the old favorites.
