The Bangkok Farmers’ Market Association is kicking off a monthly market right in the heart of the city. The inaugural market will take place at the Four Points by Sheraton on Saturday March 23rd from 8am – 2pm. The Four Points is easily accessible from BTS Asoke station.
Market goers can expect more than just an assortment of organic goods at the event. The market also promises activities for children, presentations on organic foods, live music, prizes and cooking demos.
The new farmers’ market is part of a movement led by the non-profit Bangkok Farmers’ Market Association to connect healthy-minded consumers with organic producers and create a culture of healthy living within the city.
Adams Organics, Harmony Life and NP Foods will be on hand at the market to answer your questions about organic farming and sell their goods. Oga Sama, the man behind Harmony Life, will be giving a presentation at 11am on his personal experience with teaching farmers throughout the Kingdom about sustainable farming techniques.
The Four Points by Sheraton is located at BTS Asoke, so getting to the market is easy. There will also be valet parking available. The market is scheduled to take place once per month, with the possibility for more frequent farmers’ markets to be held in the future.
