As this year’s Miss Grand Thailand finals draw near, organizers from 77 Thai provinces pieced together outrageous costume creations for the chosen beauties to represent their hometowns.

One design that stood out from all others was the “King of Fruit,” or durian dress.

Coming straight from Chanthaburi, the eastern Thai province renowned for its bright golden durian, the fruity dress represented something that seemed dangerous from the outside, but fragrant and sweet within.

Another highlight was this elephant dress from Phitsanulok.
