Dozens of aftershocks follow 6.0 Chiang Rai quake

Northern Thailand has been hit with more than 50 aftershocks following last night’s large, magnitude 6.0 shaker centered in Chiang Rai province, according to the US Geological Survey.

About four hours after the 6:08pm quake, three significant jolts from magnitude 5.0 to 5.9 struck the area, with another 10 to follow between with a magnitude of 4.0 to 4.9.

Many more aftershocks of lesser strength were recorded.
